A personal thank you to Air Force MSgt Ryan Crane for nominating me for this flight. Thank you sir.
The Thunderbirds have a NO-gos Channel
no-gos.info/tv-7_edytVWM8iumngqzTVLVw
This flight took place on May 3, 2019 in Biloxi Mississippi. The reason it took so long to release is the high amount of research I wanted to do before releasing the video. I even visited the Air Force Research Lab at Wright Patterson AFB to discuss some aspects of this video with Aerodynamicists. Synchronizing all this footage and coordinating additional B Roll with the Thunderbirds Public Affairs Officer also required a lot of effort.
These are my own thoughts, not those of the U.S. Air Force or the Thunderbirds:
I've been around a lot of pilots and ground crew in my life and I must say that the professionalism displayed by the Thunderbirds was astounding. Their goal is to inspire and demonstrate the capabilities of the US Air Force, so I'll take it a step further. If you're a smart young person who is interesting in changing your life for the better, strongly consider the Air Force. The job market isn't the best at the moment but the Air Force still has opportunities available for you to learn incredible skills even if you're not interested in flying. They manage everything from logistics, electronics, aerospace, cyber and even space systems. The threats to freedom are becoming more complex, and in my experience working for the Department of Defense over a 15 year span (even longer if you count my work as a contractor) The US Air Force consists of some of the most intelligent service members our country has. These people are book-smart, but also have the confidence to solve real world problems with their own hands. If I have a complex aerodynamic question, my first call is usually to someone in the Air Force, because they understand these complex phenomena intuitively. For example, in this video you would hear Flack and I talking about pitot tubes in flight. We also had other discussions about fuel burn rates, Prandtl Glauert, weather.... all kinds of things. Simply put, if you're looking for direction in your life, and you're good with science and math... consider the Air Force. That being said, they also need other types of skills as well. Logisticians, writers, creative people who know how to solve complex problems in unique ways.

This video was the opportunity of a lifetime. When asked if I wanted to fly in an F-16, I said "Yes please, and there are some things I'd like to study. Can we try supersonic flight at different altitudes?" I'm very grateful for this opportunity and would like to thank Flack and the rest of the US Air Force Thunderbirds. This flight took place on May 3rd, 2019. This Spatial Disorientation training is something all fighter pilots go through so they can understand how their own physiology works under these conditions. Thank you for watching and learning with me. I always wanted to know what happened in the cockpit when a jet goes supersonic. Hi all. I wonder if small pilots have an easier time dealing with high G-forces compared to tall pilots. My reasoning is that short people can gain higher power-to-weight ratios than tall people do. Given equal fitness levels, small pilots would be lighter than large/tall pilots and they'd have less weight to support during hard G pulls and more strength to do so. Are there physicists or engineers out there that could tell me if I have a point or not?

The RedBull Air Racers pull 12gs in a turn, but only for moments. G's are harder to handle when you're a passenger. Good job on 7.2!

i long ago went through most of USAF flight training & myself flew the Cessna T-37 jet & never ever forgot that incredible experience. Not near supersonic but for me plenty fast & being fully acrobatic & do recall pulling lesser G's probably a max of 5 - & always since wondered until now about the supersonic experience I never had. Your's is a wonderful video in so many ways - truly teriffic & finally filled me in with distinct & thrilling pleasure to say nothing of new knowledge which is certain to impact my next images as artist in NYC. bill rabinovitch on FB.

Since we are mostly science loving people are, lets get reminded that democracy can just bound those incredible machines to only reasonable deeds, i mean guys, i love that stuff but, it is just built to destroy gracefully so it scares me so deeply. Say no to the US foreign policy around the planet, its your army, your people, your money, so you should decide what would be the life of those fighters and humble superhumans. Peace

Rafale : 9 to 11G, 5.5G with maximum load. And it is it's sustained.. Yeah... US Air Force REALLY need to stop thinking that the F-16 is still a good aircraft... Well, it is, it WAS, don't get me wrong, but when you make a quick comparison with newer fighters or Omnirole.... ehh.... The F-16 can do 9 G's, but it's PEAK Like I said, it's a good aircraft but.... stop thinking it's the best....

When I fractured my skull I couldn't go on swings of spin round left temporal something plus a cyst in the left trigon. My vestibular system is messed up big time now 😩😥. I broke my neck and suffered chiari malformation and need it sorting. Either way I wouldn't handle any of this now. When I was a kid I used to spin really fast on my knees I used to buzz off it. Yet after the huge fall I damaged my brain pretty bad. Hope this helps you in someway. Oh a side note when I fly now I get really sick with pressure and I swell all over. I can literally feel the pressure. When I sleep after a flight my body below my head goes chronically numb I can not move it scared me and begged my partner to quickly move me I cried with fear. I couldn't move couldn't physically do anything but scream. Move my arms please turn me please help I screamed. Omg Omg never again will I fly 😭😖😩😱🤢🥵

Hello Friend Very Good presentation and as the guy said in video at 02:50 to nearly 02:56 minutes where the guy said if you are in fighter plane at controls and if you fly like an arc you would feel being pushed through the seat because of radio acceleration , WELL YOU GUYS SRE REALLY GOOD BUT WHAT THOUGHT WENT THROUGH MY MIND WAS THAT WHILE FLYING LIKE AN ARC AT THAT SPEED IT'S FORCE THAT WAS ACTING TANGENTIALLY OUTWARDS THAT GIVES THE FEELING OF BEING PUSHED THROUGH THE SEAT IN THE DIRECTION AS IS EXPLAINED OR PRESENTED BY HOST IN VIDEO AND SAID BECAUSE OF RADIO ACCELERATION WHICH IS GOOD PRESENTATION. WHILE THE PHYSIO MOVED THE HOST AROUND AND THEN EXPLAINED MEDICAL SCIENCE WAS ALSO GOOD WHICH IN PHYSICS SIMPLY MAKES SENSE OF INERTIA WHICH IS TENDENCY OF PHYSICAL BODY TO MAINTAIN THE STATE OF REST OR MOTION BUT VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE EXPLAIN THINGS BY PHYSIO USING A BOTTLE AND DEMONSTRATING. ANYWAYS REALLY COOL VIDEO. I JUST COMMENTED THE THOUGHTS THAT WENT THROUGH MY MIND, NOTHING ELSE AND I DON'T WISH TO TEACH ANYTHING TO DO GOOD AWESOME PEOPLE, THANKS
